Raleigh, NC– April 5, 2016FotoSwipe, a mobile photo-sharing app that allows users to instantly send photos and video across mobile platforms, today announced new desktop photo and video sharing capabilities for iOS and Android users. For the first time, users can now swipe unlimited photos and videos from their mobile devices directly to any personal computer, Mac or PC, eliminating the need for clunky cable connections.

FotoSwipe is the first and only mobile application to use drag-and-drop technology between devices, enabling users to easily share an unlimited number of photos with a single swipe from one mobile device to another without exchanging contact information. The mobile application, which launched in late 2015, enables users to share images and video on any mobile device on iOS or Android. The app not only allows users to share large quantities of full resolution photos but also keeps them private and secure.

Now, the same innovative technology has been used for FotoSwipe’s mobile-to-desktop functionality allowing users to transfer images and videos directly to their computer with a simple pairing key. The pairing key appears on the mobile device when the user is ready to send. Once the pairing key is entered on the destination computer via www.FotoSwipe.com, videos and photos are instantly downloaded into a zip file for easy access. The process is simple and efficient; perfect for backing up photos and videos from a mobile device to a computer seamlessly.

“Extending our capabilities to the desktop was a natural next step in FotoSwipe’s journey,” said Sylvain Dufour, CEO of FotoSwipe. “The process of sending a large quantity of photos or lengthy videos from a mobile phone to a desktop was cumbersome and in need of improvement. Our goal is to keep solving complex photo sharing problems with intuitive and simple solutions,” he said.

As one of the fastest growing companies in its hometown of Raleigh, the company is currently in its 3rd round of funding. Today, FotoSwipe is available in over 200 countries globally and was recently translated into seven different languages – English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Arabic). Each month, over 10 million photos and videos are transferred between users.

FotoSwipe is free and available to download now on iPad and iPhone on iOS 7 or later and on Google Play. For more information, visit http://www.fotoswipe.com/
