At StartupBeat we like to celebrate the brilliant ideas and businesses that passionate entrepreneurs have brought to life, while shining the spotlight on these brave founders, and we are not alone in this mission. The Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), a platform of projects and programs in 170 countries that aims at making it easier for anyone, anywhere to start and scale a business, is celebrating Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), a celebration of the innovators and job creators who launch startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare.
For one week every November, GEW inspires people everywhere through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators. Powered by the Kauffman Foundation, the initiative is supported by dozens of world leaders and a network of more than 15,000 partner organizations. GEW is held November 12-18, 2018.
In addition to the celebratory week, Startup Radio Network will be participating in Global Entrepreneurship Week and will be hosting startups on their show throughout the week for a “Startupathon.” In this article, we will take a look at some of the up and coming startups that will feature on the Startupathon, and what they are doing to make this world a better place.
