A look into the 7th batch of Orion Startups

Having already graduated six classes, Orion Startups this past month announced its upcoming Batch 7.0.

Tecnológico de Monterrey (TEC), often referred to as the MIT of Mexico, and its Chihuahua-based accelerator program have played an important role in driving innovation in the local area.

The upcoming batch includes four new companies working in the AI, Sharing Economy, Bots and Industry 4.0 industries.

One of the startups, Omdena, is building an educational platform for AI enthusiasts and students to collaborate with organizations on real-world projects.

Orion Startups has helped develop over 74 startups that collectively account for more than $42M in sales. The 5-month accelerator program is open to outside applicants from all over the world and has included founders from Canada, Peru, Chile, and India.

As of 2018 Orion Startups had invested upwards of $800K USD in 23 companies. The accelerator offers a $30K investment for 10% of equity.
