Braingaze nets €336K for further development of its behavior-predicting eye-tracking software

Barcelona-based Braingaze, maker of eye-tracking software the company says predicts the behavior of subject based on small, involuntary eye movements, has completed a €336,000 funding round. It’s the startup’s first outside funding, and its calling it a “pre-Seed” round. The investment is split between the Spanish government’s NEOTEC program for tech startups, and Across Business Partners, a crowdfunding platform that specializes in investments in high-potential, early-stage science intensive innovation projects.

Braingaze’s technology was developed at the University of Barcelona’s ICREA Foundation. The company says it has several applications currently under development across both the medical and consumer worlds that range from the diagnosis of attention/hyperactivity disorder to the analysis of consumer preference and video game navigation.

It was founded in September of last year by Laszlo Bax and Hans Super.
