It is safe to argue that the entertainment, arts, and travel industries were the hardest hit by the pandemic.
The resilience of these industries is clear, however. On the one hand, the U.S. Media and Entertainment industry is expected to be worth $825 billion by 2023, making for a 15% year-over-year increase in value despite the pandemic.
On the other hand, The World Travel & Tourism Council (W.T.T.C.), which represents the global travel and tourism industry, projected that travel and tourism in the United States will reach pre-pandemic levels in 2022, contributing nearly $2 trillion to the U.S. economy.
This bounce-back has not been without much effort, however, with many businesses across these sectors innovating to revitalize the health of their industries.
Today, Thursday, Jun 9, 2022, from 1:00- 2:30 PM EST Connect: Entertainment, Art & Travel Tech, will bring together leading members of the media with startups within the entertainment, art, and travel sectors to pitch the ways that they have innovated their business.
Let’s take a look at what people can expect from this event that brings together trailblazing companies in arts, culture, and travel.
An Event to Catalyze Innovation
At Connect: Entertainment, Art & Travel Tech, eight startups will pitch their ventures to a panel of media judges and receive valuable feedback about their companies before the panel selects a winner.

With everything from a company that has created a digital marketplace for modern nomads to get paired with wellness services abroad, to a company that brings together travel and crypto, to a company that brings design and architecture into real estate—there will be no lack of creativity in this pitch competition.
The event is open to all members of the startup community and attendance is FREE. There will be a live Q&A session with the media judges afterward where founders and members of the audience can ask their own questions to gain valuable insights as well.
