Disctopia and Semrush partner-up to launch app for podcast SEO optimization

Disctopia, a podcast hosting and music streaming service for independent creators, announced this week a partnership with Semrush, introducing a Podcasting Hosting app to expand the reach of podcasts through SEO.

According to a recent report there will be 464.7 million podcast listeners this year, with this figure expected to reach 504.9 million globally by 2024.

SEO has long been a key marketing strategy for companies large and small. As podcasts increasingly prove to core part of marketing strategies, the new partnership by Disctopia and Semrush could enable audio strategies to ascend to the next level for content creators.

“Including Semrush’s powerful tool in our podcast transcription feature adds another layer to the podcast hosting experience. Creators won’t need to jump from platform to platform to improve their SEO, as they will find everything they need to thrive in one place,” said Patrick Hill, CEO of Disctopia.

With the partnership the app will enable keyword extraction of audio transcripts directly from Semrush’s platform.

The tool also identifies relevant keywords from the transcript, such as recurring themes or topics that are frequently mentioned in the episode. This helps creators gain insight into the content of the episode and better understand the interests of their audience.

The Podcast app will be part of Semrush App Center, which showcases the best marketing tools to the thousands of users of the SEO platform.

Ultimately, the integration will enable new and experienced podcast hosts to make their content more visible, expand their audience and increase their chances of success.
