Edinburgh-based Mallzee lands £500K in new funding to help consumers make better fashion decisions

Social fashion app Mallzee has raised Seed funding round of £500,000, the company announced today. Investors include Par Equity, Scottish Investment Bank and Angel investors. The Edinburgh-based startup is another entrant into an increasingly crowded online fashion discovery market, and touts as its differentiator its in-app sharing functionality that allows users to get friends’ opinions on a potential purchase.

It was founded in 2012 by COO Callum Stuart, CEO Cally Russell, and CTO Jamie Sutherland, and previously raised two earlier Seed rounds totaling nearly $500,000.
