Using three time-honored methods—Western Astrology, Chinese Zodiac, and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator—Aligned Signs helps its users achieve total self-awareness, setting the foundation for all meaningful relationships.

Once equipped with this new knowledge, Aligned Signs supports its users connecting with others who compliment them professionally, socially, and romantically.

Founder’s Story

Aligned Signs was born from my personal quest to find meaning in myself and in relationships around me. I had come to a point where I felt like my life was turned upside down in a matter of a month.

Devastated and confused, I began the arduous task of finding meaning and began a journey of self-exploration aided by reading books, attending seminars, and conversing with others on their views of the world and relationships. I searched and searched, and finally derived a deeper understanding of myself with a combination of science and multicultural faith through Western Astrology, Chinese Zodiac, and the Myers-Briggs. I learnt how to be true to myself and realized the beauty of understanding the most important person in my life—myself.

In the rat race of time, it is easy to lose sight of the person that you are. But knowing yourself is the cornerstone of successful relationships. Inspired by my own success at finding meaning in my life, I created Aligned Signs to enhance and enable people from all walks of life to connect and enrich their lives and relationships. The first step to lasting personal change lies in understanding yourself. This is not the fuzzy spiritual consciousness one finds in most self-help books, but the practical, honest self-awareness that sets the stage for long-term improvement. Only through this type of evaluation can real, lasting personal change occur. Aligned Signs empowers you with the knowledge to create more sustainable long-term change utilizing a multitude of tools which incorporate philosophy and science. By now understanding and being at peace with myself, I enjoy more meaningful, sustainable, quality relationships with others.

Marketing/Promotion Strategy

We work closely with our PR and marketing teams, each of which is outsourced. Our marketing team helps us stay active on social media and run regular contests and product giveaways. We also blog, advertise and send newsletters to stay connected with our users.

Market Opportunity

The market opportunity for Aligned Signs is spread out among networking websites, online dating websites, self-awareness/psychology websites and astrology websites.

There are a billion-plus users that engage in social networking, and on average spend 15 hours, 33 minutes a month engaged in social media.

Online dating alone is already a billion-dollar market, and it continues to grow. Eleven percent of all American adults are considered online daters, and approximately 17 percent of marriages that occurred last year were couples that met online. Recent studies also indicate that these marriages have a greater success rate, or lower divorce rate. Needless to say, online dating is a massive market and it’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

How We Differentiate From the Competition

Aligned Signs uniquely focuses on self-awareness to set the foundation for all meaningful relationships. It is the only tool that uses trusted character-analyzing identifiers, in addition to individual preferences (e.g.: interests and hobbies), to determine compatibility.

Other relationship sites rely entirely on witty marketing profile campaigns to gain the attention of prospective connections, or ‘compatibility tests’ that have no proven scientific basis and do not offer its users insight into how connections are procured.

Aligned Signs gives its users clear tools and knowledge to enhance their established relationships, as well as make new, meaningful, and long-lasting connections.

Business Model

We offer a subscription-based model allowing users to choose from multiple membership levels (lite and premium). We also offer MBTI assessment à la carte, as well as a gift shop with curated items that aid in self-development.

Current Needs

We are looking for synergies with other platforms for potential alliances and partnerships. Now that the vision for Aligned Signs is built, we are seeking funding to help take the company to the next level.
