Featured Startup Pitch: Snaffu enables mobile development teams to find and report bugs in real-time

By DEEPAK CHOPRA AND SANJAY MALHOTRA, SNAFFU CO-FOUNDERS

ELEVATOR PITCH

Mobile QA, simplified.

PRODUCT/SERVICE DESCRIPTION

Snaffu is an in-app bug reporting tool that streamlines the issue creation process and allows mobile app developers/testers (or really anyone) to submit issues directly from their device.

With a simple shake, Snaffu takes a screenshot, gathers logs, and captures device details automatically from within your app. It streamlines the issue reporting process and opens your app up to receiving valuable feedback from any stakeholder (CEO, PM, product, QA).

We built Snaffu to make bug reporting easier for our clients and product teams from both iOS and Android apps. We found that often users see issues in an app but don’t report them, wait to report them or have someone from QA report them. Feedback tools didn’t capture all the details we required and they were built to target end users. We set out to make sure the teams creating apps could submit valuable bugs which can be resolved.

With Snaffu integrated in your apps, everyone can submit bugs.

Snaffu has simple integration methods, it’s competitively priced, has a unique feature set (offline capabilities, issue tracker tool extension), our in-app and dashboard UI/UX is beautiful and we have amazing customer support. Snaffu simplifies mobile QA.

FOUNDERS’ STORY

Mobile app developers love Snaffu. We built Snaffu to make bug reporting easier for our clients and product teams from both iOS and Android apps. We found that often users would see issues in an app but not report them, wait to report them or have QA report them. Feedback tools didn’t capture all the details we required and they are built to target end users. We set out to make sure the teams creating apps can submit valuable bugs which can be resolved.

MARKET OPPORTUNITY

With the large numbers of apps being built today and which already exist in the iOS and Android market, Snaffu aims to help improve the quality of those apps by allowing teams to submit valuable bugs quickly and with more details.

HOW WE’RE UNIQUE

Snaffu is meant for in-app bug reporting. We have several features which make us unique and a valuable testing tool for app development teams of any size. Here are some of the great things Snaffu can do for you:

EXTEND YOUR ISSUE TRACKING TOOL CAPABILITIES

Connect your JIRA, Asana, or PivotalTracker accounts to Snaffu and your issues will submit directly from your app to your tool. No interruption to your existing flow.

USER ACCOUNTABILITY

Add accountability and give credit where it’s due. Registered users can connect their account to report as themselves within their issue tracking tool.

OFFLINE MODE/ISSUE QUEUING

Continue submitting issues from your app even without a connection. Snaffu will queue up issues when offline and submit them when back online.

At the moment there are several companies (like Instabug or BugClipper) which look to capture user feedback from within apps but don’t serve the full purpose of bug reporting as Snaffu does.

BUSINESS MODEL

Free (two apps, three users); $20 (five apps, 10 users); $50 (10 apps, 20 users); $100 (20 apps, 40 users).
