PRODUCT/SERVICE DESCRIPTION

Usercard is a directory for social media handles. Usernames are not universal; Usercard gives individuals, organizations, and brands with multiple profiles a cohesive platform to distribute their complete online presence with authority. The resulting username database is fully independent of any one network, but supportive of all. For a casual user, it’s a discovery and reference site for finding all handles of an entity of interest; for a social user, it’s a standardizing tool for sharing all of his handles; for an enterprise, it’s a strategic needle-mover for total brand and message visibility.

DIFFERENTIATORS VS. THE COMPETITION

Many of the personal homepage sites like about.me offer a section to list all your profile links, but they’re always a feature and not the show. Usercard is all about the usernames. It’s not a social network; it’s a directory resource that grows with the evolution of platform offerings and user participation on them all. It’s like Google, but just for usernames. It’s like the Yellow pages, but just for usernames. Why so laser-focused on usernames? Because no one else is giving them the proper attention they deserve. Usercard’s heart is this single piece of identity with which online users engage every single day, and it is UC’s mission to provide the best experience for them.

Also, Usercard ensures authenticity and security in its service. Users create their own cards and only add the handles they wish to be so public by allowing access via API. That way, only the owner of those handles can claim them as theirs as a built-in verification system. No content feeds are pulled in, no third party credentials are saved.
