Today’s early-stage startup funding and acquisitions news:
Singapore-based Collabspot, CRM solution targeted at SMBs, has landed $79,000 in what is essentially a round of Seed funding. The funds come from former mentor Laurent Gasser, who has also become the company’s director of business development. Gasser, a serial entrepreneur who has been involved in ventures around the world, mentored the startup as part of the JFDI bootcamp accelerator. Collabspot is designed to essentially streamline and simplify the CRM process by integrating with Gmail and allowing emails to be automatically entered into the CRM system. The startup was founded in the summer of 2012 and previously received $20,000 in Angel funding from its participation in the accelerator. (Sources: TechInAsia, TechCrunch).
