New York City-based Dering Hall, an online platform that connects consumers with interior designers and design concepts, has closed $1.4 million Seed funding round. Investors include Lerer Ventures, Softbank Capital and Hearst Corporation. The startup was founded in 2011 by Peter Sallick, who also heads up designer fixtures firm Waterworks (his family’s business), and prominent interior designer Steven Gambrel.
