EasyPost, which has developed an API meant to simplify the integration of postage and shipping into ecommerce sites, has closed an $850,000 Seed funding round. Investors include Y Combinator, SV Angel, Start Fund and CrunchFund. The startup has developed an API that connects to major shippers like UPS, FedEx and the USPS, which the company claims is easier to integrate and leads to more accurate tracking of shipped goods. San Francisco-based EasyPost was founded in 2012 and was founded by former VC Jarrett Streebin and former Google software engineer Jon Calhoun.
