Mobile search app Leap2 has landed $1.6 million in second round funding. The Kansas City, Missouri-based startup focuses on contextualizing mobile search by utilizing number of elements from across the web. Investors in the round include Dundee Venture Capital, OpenAir Equity, Linseed Capital and the Wichita Technology Corporation, according to Silicon Prairie News.

Data

Skytree, machine learning startup focused on large, complex data sets, has raised $18 million in Series A funding. Investors include U.S. Venture Partners, UPS (yes, United Parcel Service), and Sun Microsystems co-founder and former CEO Scott McNealy. The company was founded in 2012 and previously raised $1.5 million in Seed funding. More on the funding, via company press release.

Enterprise

Finnish enterprise content management startup M-Files has closed €6 million Series A funding round. Investors include DFJ Esprit and Finnish Industry Investment. M-Files utilizes metadata approach to content management that pulls together data no matter where it is stored (in the Cloud, on-premise, etc.). More on the funding, from GigaOm.
