The Lightning Pitch: HappyFox, boosting customer interaction

Company: HappyFox

Headquarters: Irvine, California

Founding Team: Shalin Jain

Why we like it: Let’s face it, when it comes to shopping, who has time to go down to the store these days. Whether it’s to buy a new shirt for your grandma’s birthday or an XBox controller to replace the one your housemate broke after a few drinks, trudging to the mall is no longer your first thought.

If you’re feeling particularly chirpy, you might call up to see if Footlocker has those new fly nikes in stock but most likely you’re going to look online. The internet has given rise to goldfish-like attention spans and easy distraction – did you get see that youtube video were the brothers tricked their sister into thinking the world was descending into a zombie apocalypse? Hilarious. But back to the topic at hand – it’s safe to say that the quick response time, ease of use and customer service we receive online is going to determine where and when we buy.

Happy Fox helps companies provide exceptional service to their customers – resolving the issue of online support with mobile applications that let reps answer calls, search for customer-specific information and bring order to the chaotic world of online service. The cloud-based platform hopes to become the go-to problem solver for the customer support industry and to earn a reputation as a platform that helps companies make both agents and customers happy again.

The company feels that live chat will soon become the most preferred channel of of customer service, recently unveiling its new feature – HappyFox Chat – that includes an integration with Facebook Messenger, an integration with Hubspot, and a mobile reporting app. All of these new functions will help businesses to help their customers to the best of their abilities. The platform also costs 25 percent to 30 percent less than rival offerings, giving better value for customers in the process.

For us, the online customer, it means that we get the quick attention and customized service we need so that we can save time having to go down to the mall and go back to watching cat memes and star wars parodies.
