Home centric local service provider WorkHorse raises Angel funding

MUMBAI, MAY 11: WorkHorse, an APP based home centric service-on-demand company, has raised an undisclosed amount from a group of HNI’s in Mumbai & Delhi. The company is in talks to raise its next round to grow its presence in coming months.

The current fund raise will be used to strengthen the product and grow the supplier base with proper training across Mumbai and Delhi. Company also has plans to use the fund for scaling up its operations significantly.

“We have launched a selective print campaign in Mumbai to announce the launch of our city operations in trial mode. In here, we urge our customers to try out our services and actively give us feedback to further customize the service offering and streamline the operations as per the local need. City trials are a way to adjust and customize our products to the need of a particular city,” says Kamallendu Singh- Head of Business. “We are very happy with the initial response that our trial has generated. We are scaling up our operation and adding more taskers every day. We aim to reach over 500 bookings a day in next few months,” he adds.

WorkHorse has pioneered an all-encompassing service offering (through its android App) which is a big pain point for working middle class in their day to day life. Services like driver on demand, part time maid, beautician on a tap of a button or repair service has seen very good traction. People like the convenience of booking and assurance of quality work that the trained and quality controlled taskers perform. WorkHorse is currently operational in Mumbai and would soon be launching its operations in NCR.

Headquartered in Gurgaon, WorkHorse is an app based on demand service provider for grey collar, semi-skilled and unskilled workforce. It currently offers on-demand Maid (ranging from <3Hrs to a single day to a monthly basis), Cleaning (car wash, dry cleaning, sofa clean, carpet cleaning, deep cleaning of homes etc.), Driver (ranging from 3 hrs to one day use to outstation travel to a monthly basis), Beautician, repair personnel (electrician, carpenter, plumber, gadget repair etc) and servicing solution like AC repair or other maintenance work.
