Paris-based healthtech startup KelDoc has raised $1.4 million in new venture funding. The company offers a web-and mobile-based database and platform that connects consumers with healthcare providers in Europe. Once a potential patient finds a doctor or other health specialist, KelDoc’s service allows them to browse the provider’s calendar and book an appointment—a service similar to ZocDoc in the U.S. The new funding round comes from Alven Capital and unnamed Angels.
It was founded in 2012 by Eduardo Ronzano, Nicolas Douay, and Frédéric Malamitsas, and previously raised $914,000 in Seed funding in April of last year.
