L-SPARK launches SAAS North, Canada’s first SaaS conference

L-SPARK, leading SaaS accelerator in Canada, has announced the launch of SAAS North, the country’s first ever SaaS conference.

Produced by CUBE Business Media, SAAS North will connect founders, investors and executives from across the globe in Canada’s capital city, Ottawa.

The conference will host more than 60 speakers, including Tobias Lütke, the founder and CEO of Shopify; Zander Lurie the CEO of SurveyMonkey, and Kim Walsh, Global Director of Hubspot for Startups.

Other speakers will include CEO’s and senior executives from Salesforce, Hootsuite, Intercom, 500px, LEAGUE, Vision Critical,  Bessemer Venture Partners, Georgian Venture Partners, Inovia, BDC, OMERS, Whitestar Capital, Arthur Ventures, and more.

The global SaaS market is predicted to grow from $49 billion in 2015, to $67 billion in 2018. Despite the fact that SaaS companies in general exhibit healthy margins, averaging at 78%, with overall revenue growth of 46% in 2016, in a competitive environment new businesses still face challenges. Scaling, raising funding and going public is harder than before; public SaaS valuations have dropped by 57% in the last two years.

L-SPARK is helping these small to medium-sized businesses by giving them the adrenaline shot they need to boost their efforts and become competitive in an international landscape. L-SPARK founders are SaaS veterans, boasting decades of industry expertise.

“SAAS NORTH is a fantastic opportunity for companies around the world to learn more about this dynamic industry,” said Leo Lax, L-SPARK’s executive managing director.

“For the first time ever SaaS thought leaders will meet on Canadian soil to discuss provocative and practical ideas for fast-paced business growth.”

Tickets for SAAS NORTH are currently available for $995 CAD, with a 10% discount offered to groups of three to five. Tickets include full access to both days, including breakfast, lunch, welcome reception and after-party.

The event, which will take place from Nov. 30 to Dec. 1
