LA-based Nix Hydra gets $5M for its game studio focused on women

Nix Hydra, gaming development studio focused on young women, has completed a $5 million venture funding round from the Foundry Group. The Los Angeles-based startup has found traction with its game ‘Egg Baby,’ which the company says has been downloaded more than 9 million times to this point.

The company was founded in 2012 by Lina Chen and Naomi Ladizinsky. The team previously raised $615,000 in Angel funding back in 2012.
