Communication platform QuickBlox announced this week its integration of OpenAI with Q-Consultation Lite, its new video consultation service.

The aim of the integration is to further provide healthcare professionals, financial advisors, and HR recruiters with advanced AI features in order to improve communications. The integration will streamline consultation processes, addressing the need for personalized virtual support.

QuickBlox is a cloud-based communication platform that enables businesses to create real-time communication apps efficiently, including with its pre-built SDKs and APIs for chat and video calling, ready solutions, and cross-platform compatibility.

“This integration represents a significant leap forward in our mission to enrich remote communication and empower developers to build real-time communication solutions with advanced AI capabilities,” said QuickBlox CEO Nate MacLeitch.

“By leveraging ChatGPT’s cutting-edge NLP, we believe Q-Consultation will not only enhance the user experience but also break barriers, improve accessibility, and unlock new possibilities for collaboration and knowledge exchange,” added the executive.

According to a report from November, 2022, over 90% of Americans used telehealth services in the last year, and that 90% enjoyed their experience.

Some of these services included doctors appointments, teledentistry, and vision appointments. Furthermore, 71% of users accessed telehealth using their smartphones.

The integration with OpenAI will make it further possible to incorporate real-time translation, moderation, and recommendations — as an example, it may become increasingly unnecessary for translators to attend medical appointments.
