Oculus has raised more than $1.5 million in less than 10 days on Kickstarter for its Oculus Rift immersive virtual reality headset for gamers. It has shattered its goal of $250K via 6,424 backers. With 21 days left to go in the campaign, this may be record-breaker. Oculus Rift Kickstarter Page

Speaking of record-breakers, video game console Ouya reached the end of its Kickstarter campaign yesterday, raising nearly $9 million. Its original goal of $950K now seems modest. Launched in late July, FreedomPop’s Kickstarter campaign for its iPod sleeve that purports to turn the device into free 4G wireless iPhone is moving forward at a healthy clip.
