The knowledge amassed on the internet is one of society’s greatest achievements. And the internet has a voice and a name. The voice you choose might depend on your preference for brand or settings, but for many that name is Siri. Apple’s voice assistant Siri is a vocal gateway to the world wide web and thus has many abilities, such as to translate, to read you a bedtime story and even to give directions.
But the latter has received an upgrade thanks to Sygic GPS Navigation, a leading navigation app with over 200M users worldwide. The
Slovak company now allows users to give Siri a command to have Sygic navigate them to familiar destinations.
To make the most of the new feature, users open Sygic GPS Navigation and tap on the favorites heart next to the search bar, select Add to Siri icon next to favorite places like Home or Work, following this the user taps record and states their custom voice command, for example, “Let’s head to work.”
Additionally, Sygic is able to learn user habits. So, after a long day in the office, it will automatically suggest the Sygic GPS Navigation shortcut to the users home at the time they normally leave work.
