Israel-based Beyond Verbal has raised $2.8 million in Seed funding for its Cloud-based technology that takes voice recognition a step further by purportedly detecting emotion in the speaker’s voice. The investment in the startup, which was founded in 2012, was led by Genesis AngelsHere’s more on the funding, from TechCrunch.

MadeiraCloud, which provides Amazon Web Services users with a graphical interface for architecture and performance, has landed $1.5 million in Series A funding from Sequoia Capital.
