Data visualization startup DataPad has emerged from stealth mode with $1.7 million in Seed funding from some big names that include Accel Partners, Google Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, SV Angel and Ludlow Ventures. The San Francisco-based company is focused on the visualization part of the data equation—building easier-to-use data discovery, analysis, and collaboration tools.
It was founded last year by CEO Wes McKinney and CTO Chang She.
