X.ai, an artificial intelligence startup that has built a personal assistant app for scheduling appointments, has closed on $2.1 million in Seed funding. Investors include IA Ventures, Softbank and Lerer Ventures.
The New York-based company’s ‘Amy’ app is focused on helping users manage meetings, automatically, through integration with email clients. It was founded earlier this year by CEO Dennis R. Mortensen, COO Alex Poon and lead engineer Matt Casey.
