Google+ app for student collaboration Scoot & Doodle has raised a $2.25 million Seed round. The San Francisco-based company claims that its app is the most popular ‘premier’ app within Google+ Hangouts. Link to the press release.

Delhi-based PlayCez has secured an undisclosed Seed round for its soon-to-launch events discovery app for India. The startup is a graduate of India’s Global Superangels Forum (GSF) mentorship program. More about the funding from TechCrunch.
Enterprise
Bloomfire, which offers businesses a platform for more efficient knowledge and information management, has closed an $8 million Series A round from existing investors that include Austin Ventures and Redpoint Ventures. Advertising/Marketing
Despite all the griping among media and analysts in particular about online ads, money keeps flowing to the sector. The latest is Adcade, which announced today the closing of a $1.5 million Seed funding round. The New York-based startup specializes on HTML5 mobile ads. Finance/Investment
