The Global managed IT services market continues to expand and is expected to rise at a CAGR of 9.4% through to 2024, bringing the total market value from $145.3 billion in 2016 to a projected $249.4 billion by the end of 2024 according to recent research from Wise Guys Reports, reports Real Wire.
One of the world’s most innovative managed service provider (MSP) startups has recently added to this growing industry, as Liongard recently announced its Live-Tables integration with IT Glue, automating the updates of system configuration documentation for Managed Service Providers (MSPs). The integration was introduced at IT Glue’s GlueCon event in Phoenix, September 16-18.
GlueCon is IT Glue’s first major conference with over 400 attendees representing over 250 MSPs. Thought leaders and executives in the channel, including CEOs of all major PSAs will be speaking at the event. Among them is Arnie Bellini, CEO of ConnectWise, and Datto’s Austin McChord. Liongard’s integration provides IT Glue users with the leap in IT automation that many of the event’s speakers are evangelizing.
Liongard’s mission is to extend the visibility of Managed IT Service Providers by automating the flow of data to where MSPs need it most. With this integration, Liongard’s Roar advances its reach to not only enable automated system configuration documentation in Professional Service Automation (PSA) configuration databases like ConnectWise Manage, but also directly into platforms like IT Glue.
IT Glue is an award-winning SOC 2-compliant documentation platform, creating unmatched efficiencies, transparency, and consistency for MSPs. Through IT Glue’s enterprise API, Liongard’s Roar automation platform is able to complement and enrich the mission-critical data that is used on a daily basis.
Liongard is providing a unique offering for MSPs using Roar and IT Glue. Roar’s Live-Tables feature pushes rich, well-organized and up-to-date system configuration data from Roar into IT Glue as their own Flexible Asset types. These types include Cloud Productivity Apps such as Office 365, network device configurations such as firewalls, and on-premises apps like Microsoft SQL and Active Directory. Roar users can select which asset types, companies and organizations they want to update in IT Glue.
“Great information is at the root of sound decision making,” said Luis Giraldo, VP of Product at IT Glue. “With Liongard’s Roar platform delivering this key information to IT Glue in an automated and scalable way, we’re excited for the possibilities this will bring to our mutual partners in increasing productivity, creating efficiency, and empowering more staff to make well-informed decisions, ultimately helping provide exceptionally consistent service to their customers.”
Until now, MSPs were forced to manually log into services and devices, and key in system configuration details such as users, privileges, policies, rules, expiration dates and important licensing information. All this and more can now be automatically documented and updated in IT Glue as well-organized data tables, that are easy to read and review. Moreover, it enables engineers to access Roar’s rich system configuration data inside IT Glue. By consolidating content with continuously updated system configuration data, this integration increases visibility and drives efficiencies for the MSP.
“Every time an MSP staff member has to log in to a system to verify configuration details, that costs time, time is money – the best way to eliminate those mundane tasks is by pulling it automatically – automation is key to the profitability and success of the MSP” said Shawn Sailer, VP of Managed Services Strategy at Liongard. “And our customers agree. They’ve asked for Roar’s deep inspection data to be pushed into IT Glue, and we’ve answered the call with Live-Tables. Now the data collected by Roar for several systems lands directly into IT Glue and helps complete the documentation every MSP needs.”
